Who is Edna Blake?

Edna Blake is a witty, dynamic, compassionate woman with a desire to bring encouragement, hope and healing to your heart.  She is a sought-after Christian speaker for Women's conferences across the country.  She is a leader of workshops focusing on Women and Healthy Families.

She is a Teacher, Counselor and Author of three books:

Where Are My "Jesus I can Do Anything" Socks?,

As Long As Your In The Car You're Not Lost,

and her latest, Hurry Up and Wait.

Edna is best known for her caring spirit that is blended with a delightful sense of humor. She confronts women with a down-to-earth approach to complicated problems in relationships and spirituality. Her goal is that women and families will develop healthy Christ-centered self-images, providing a firm foundation for living through all the complexities of life.

Edna and her late husband, Bill, served in the pastorate for 17 years and worked with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship in Minnesota and Wisconsin for 7 years.  While living in Duluth, Edna worked in Christian broadcasting for 9 years and hosted two Christian radio programs at KDNW radio: "Our Bits and Pieces: and "Take Two".  Edna is presently involved in her local church where she serves in a discipleship ministry and new believers program.  The joy of her life is the singles ministry, "On Track".

Edna enjoys gardening, reading and playing Boggle with her friends.  She is a caregiver for her 93 year old mom, Edith Boatwright, and enjoys spending time with her sons, her daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Edna lost her middle son, Timothy Blake, in a motorcycle accident on April 3, 2003.  Tim was on his way to work and was hit by a truck.  He was a loving son, brother, grandson, husband, and devoted father.  Tim was active in his church, serving on the worship team.  He loved doing short-term Missions.
